TLC Yoga Programs
Community Programs
We have two community programs serving people who are living and sleeping outside, people who are living in supportive housing and those who are in and out of shelters, hotels or other temporary living situations.
1). In East Atlanta Village TLC Yoga provides breakfast and lunch alongside our 60 minute yoga class. We use the community breakfast and lunch time to connect with our program participants. Over the last two years, this space has become a trusted hub for physical, emotional, and spiritual care. We partner with Eastside Church who also has a clothing closet, free fridge and onsite social worker from Intown Cares.
2.) We also partner with Restoring One's Hope of Atlanta to bring yoga class in Old Fourth Ward alongside their offerings of meals, clothes closet, barber services, social worker and life coach services.

Private Programs
We have two programs serving men in a downtown shelter and women in a recovery center.
1.) Through weekly consistency at Gateway Center's Shelter, TLC Yoga builds trust with men who may be wary of outside support, creating connection and belonging within the group. For many, the yoga practice becomes a rare moment of relief and a steppingstone toward stability, complementing Gateway Center’s essential housing and case management services.
2.) TLC Yoga offers a weekly trauma-informed yoga class for women residing at Ascensa Health Recovery Center (Formerly St. Jude's) in Atlanta. In this supportive environment, participants use their yoga practice to reduce stress, regulate the nervous system, and strengthen resilience—skills that are critical in early recovery.
“I am a huge proponent of students practicing yoga on their own in the safest way possible. I’m really proud of these water-resistant keychain pamphlets with a simple yoga sequence to encourage students to practice outside of class. It was sweet of the students to be the models for the pamphlet.”
Featured Student: Meet John
I don't typically roll my Mercy Church students upside down onto their heads. But after class, John was going for it on his own without any props or form. It gave me anxiety, so I guided him into this safer version of Halasana. This pose is so soothing to the mind and feels great on the back.
John said his back felt great for days after that class and said it was very helpful to clear his sinuses. John resisted class for many months because his back was in so much constant pain from a prior accident. Once he started, he felt the benefits almost immediately, and he is now a regular. He even practices on his own outside of class — a dream come true for me.
